Not sure what to make of this one, either.

I feel like if I were going to build that, I’d try to start with a better bike? Also their disc brakes seem not likely to be very useful, and I’m not sure the rim brakes are much better, given that it doesn’t look like those wheels were designed to work with rim brakes?

That bike was not designed for those wheels. Those wheels were not designed for caliper brakes. That thing is a death trap.

In general, I find that people who put after-market engines on bikes  usually don’t know what they are doing, start out with the wrong type of frame, throw together a bunch of parts that aren’t meant to go together, won’t listen to advise given by people who do know what they are doing, and eventually end up building something that is unsafe.

This bike doesn’t even have the mounting points for disc brakes and the rims aren’t designed for standard caliper brakes. Those wheels have no business being on that frame.

Yes, they’re a thing and I occasionally see and smell them. Illegal things though.

Here’s one I saw last year:

Nothing wrong with them a can of petrol and a match wouldn’t fix.

I like the special-purpose screws on the exhaust. The thing probably puts out a cloud of blue smoke as well.

I wonder how much leakage there is around that exhaust connection. It’s probably filled with silicone or JB Weld.
